After almost two months, I finally got around to touching up the focus. And for the second time since then has done a full convergence. Still need to get into the stig and really tighten the focus up, but still not sure of what neckboards will remain in the projector at this point.

Right now I have my recently upgraded older Electrohome neck boards, that still needs more work. The newer VDC are to my opinion finished. Near perfect everything. Smpte, linearity, tracking, stability, zero shifting, runs cool, etc.

I kept saying I was going to tighten the fucus and dial things in better, but only did another but more detailed quickie. Anyway, I'm gearing up for a project that will keep me tied up somewhat, so thought I'd make this happen this morning.

This is my setup with the recently upgraded 300mhz neck boards (Electrohome)

The higher bandwidth makes them sharper, but they also capture more hash noise

how come that the colors on the panasonic seem to be largely on the reddish/orange side?
is that due to the camera? the crt looks much better, awesome job on the tune-up and modifications btw.

Good job Mike been awhile since I looked at this thread and you have alot a punch in those shots. You are only
camera and lens limited for even showing more impact. Enjoy your projector and relax you are entitled.

Hey Fox, I think the Multipass would be out of date by now.

Very Happy

Remarkable in Mike's shots to see the corner bandwidth. I noticed that too with 9518 new neck and lug.

Not sure about the colors, but can say it may be because the colors have not been balanced. But apart from that I've never really liked the colors on the Panasonic. Its plus is sharpness and detail

I'm thinking about getting another camera for sure, but for right now I'm thinking to bottom her up. I need to work on the focus and then get back to fixing the gamma stage on the VIM for best tracking

Did someone say LUG's were dim in a Marquee?

The following shots from here on have the resistor change on PIN 7 of the neck boards for proper LUG usgae.

And I'm using the Sony Blu Ray (The Panasonic won't play Kong)

XG1351 LC @ 1080i-96Hz
Note the bandwidth of the machine barely reach 30MHz (-3dB), no further signal manipulation was involved. A bit too dark exposition i know...
