The bug shot is my absolute favorite I think. So good I don't even have words covering it!

Mike,

Do you use a stand or pole to steady the camera when taking pictures? I move to much with the long shutter time for dark scenes.

A little something something to get the party started. It's all on automatic, which never turns out good, but still. It's the new VNB + VIM 03. I never bothered about the CPC, that's for later, or until the VIM 02 gets fixed.

Yes, I think the image is like cleaner and calmer maybe. But not sharper from what I can see, but that is mostly because I need to redo the magnets + astig. So there is room for improvement for sure.

I also need to redo the lenses I remember, I was not as obsessive as before with binocs.

I looked inside the lenses and noticed green looked less noisy and calmer. I didn't watch very long so it probably is sharper as well I just didn't pick up on it immediately. But l liked it. Thanks!

Oh and, I got inspired with Jorges ferrite bead everywhere so I'm doing that sometime too but I keep forgetting to buy them!

Sd scaled to 1080p / MadVR. Marquee 8500. Going to work on the Green astig rings for better focus.

I've been looking at my old images of the girl with the diamonds. And everyone one of them seem softer!

This images shown are: Pre pushed Frankenyokes and pre new VNB + MP VIM 03 and Pushed FY and NEW VNB + MP VIM 03.

But I can tell the images looks better now than ever before. The colors are better and the overall image seems better, that goes to MP. The extra sharpness goes to pushing the FY further forward I think. Not all by itself of course, but say 60% pushed FY and 40% new VNB. I have no proof which way really..

I still have the magnets they were when I took the ruler-in-front-of-the-grid-pattern-shots so I can do extensive testing if I want to. I can put the old VNB back on again - and redo RGB focus - and then switch back to new VNB + MP VIM 03 and compare. But there is no need just look at the images.

The Samsung system camera has always made better images on manual focus than auto. But this time, I made the best shots ever taken of the girl on auto on the first go. Rest assure, I will keep the settings on my camera as is, and always use that for the time being and only fine tune the red color with sub brightness.. she is still to hot in red color and yet my red drive is at a low 7.

What makes the new Girl-shot come alive are the better colors + better focus. Looking at her hair I'd say the straws looks more defined than before so confident the up grade was worth every dollar spent.

The ratio could be off the other way of course, but really think that pushing the FY further forward made the pj sharper.

PRE PUSHED FY + OLD MP VNB + MP VIM 03

You really don't need special yokes with those neck boards, even when they re being used with LUG's (what I have in mine). And they work even better on the LUG's, where the Frankenyokes (the same set you have) made no difference on my setup.

That sounds great! Cool, but having them on must be better than having them off I think. It must be, right? I mean Barco FY vs. SONY must at least show a difference that is noticeable. Matched or not with the other boards.

Wolfman,

You have any other shots of popular movies I can compare my 8500 with? I am not into gore at all. Do you have Men in Black3? I took pictures of the SD DVD. Can we see how each compare.

Be nice Greg and prod gently. That sounds kind of sick. Embarassed If he has MB3 it would be nice to compare the SD version.

Yes, I have that and can take some tonight I guess, or tomorrow. Greg can do the same if he likes, i wouldn't mind at all, but Greg will have the edge if he did, I saw the last he posted and they look very nice and crisp.

I will use same settings as last time, I never used auto before but now I will always.

You may as well come out on top too MAK, with your new boards and better camera on so on, anyways, let's post some non gore action shall we! Smile
