Tonight I'm going to calibrate and dial things in better. The images are a little too over saturated for me. I'll even try another player.

I'll get back to you later (when the sun goes down). I'll then switch back to my other 02 VIM. It's been waiting for this, and I've already put it in my PJ.

It told me I could post one shot as to not keep you waiting too long. But I'd have to wait to the lights go out to really show what it does so well. Unlike the other 02 VIM, this one does not have an over saturation problem that's so common on high bandwidth video chains.

This the firs time this VIM has been involved here. It's so excited, it has a smile on its face.. Mr. Green

Back to my Commercial version. So bright now that I have to put the camera at the back of the room. Other than my makeshift glycol falling apart the image is super sharp and bright. Will pick up glycol later today.

Alright G90, you're no longer the brightest and sharpest.. Very Happy

The following group the camera is still located at the rear room, but zoomed in close on the screen. I have the iris adjusted down on the camera, and the projector is stupid bright taking this next group. There is some blooming, but hard to see.

1920X1080P /60hz on my Crazy Marquee.. Very Happy

on last night I told another forum member that It was time to go after that Hash noise that causes the cloudiness or haze in the image. It also causes premature blooming on my mods.

In my most recent (gated Friday) and last screenshots, I had switched to a Sony Moome that I have rigged to use outside of my projector. The Marquee Moome I was using was wrapped and shipped with its matching video chain.

So last night I worked on the Sony Moome cards analog section power supply rails. So far, I've only filtered the buffer stages.

Not sure how it will or if it'll show in the screenshots, but on my screen it is tons better. Now from the previous shots to the ones I'm posting now. I have not touched anything on the projector other than the contrast control. And as always I never add or use any image enhancements in either software of the player itself.

Later today, I'm going to also address the DAC supply rails. And when doing so, I will be using an external supply to power both DAC and Buffer Stages. I'm thinking of using a passive supply, but almost anything would be better than the noise that's getting into the signal from both the projector rail and the Moomes processors. It does appear that Moome also worked on this, and that's why there are so many large caps in the buffer stage. But the noise I measured may need more than that for the higher bandwidth video chains.

I took this quickly trying to see if I'll be able to see the difference in the shots from Friday morning to the ones I took after the changes.

Absolutely amazing!! An incredible collection of screenshots. They just remind me why it's so hard to make the switch to digital. There really is something special about an image from a crt projector. I hope to be able to get this level of performance from my 1209s one day soon. Keep em coming guys Thumbs Up

One small test to see if there is a difference between the lossless .png format that I used before and the lossy .jpg format. The first is png, the second is jpg with the highest jpg quality setting.

Hmmm I don not think there is much difference.

Camera at rear of room, contrast cranked. Moome card gave me an headache over the weekend, and I almost forgot to say it's crazy cold outside.
