Hello community, I am currently struggling with the G2 settings for my Barco Data 801s. To my knowledge there is a certain grid voltage. Can someone help me. The recommendations for the G2 setting stored on the Barco do not work. And so I want to set the voltage with a meter. How many volts should I set there. Thanks in advance for any helpful answer. Greetings

Hello,

You cannot know which voltage will be the good setting, it depends of the tube itself (and it's wear), that's why it's a setting in fact.
(beware also it's in the 400 - 1000V range).
What you can do is disabling the ABL (automatic black level) then adjust the G2 by eye, to bring the raster barely visible.

Also, if your tube is really worn, you may not be able to find a good setting.

Did you go through the service manual for the 801s? I know their is some info in the service manual.
