Hey, got a what I believe to be common issue with my proj. Wondering if there's any current fix/workaround that could help.

For background: I'm getting issues with dark streaking on very bright images (most noticeable on white). It lessens and sometimes disappears as the machine warms up, but recently it's been staying around for longer. The projector powered down on it's own recently and I moved it from beneath the coffee table it was under and removed the top cover to give it some air. That seems to have helped with the streaking slightly as well, but it might also be a placebo effect on my part.

Any ideas? I know there was some mod that is long out of production for the 1292, so that's out. Let me know if any of you have solutions.

EDIT: Also, my inputs are all going through one of those Sony switchers made for the projector. Not sure if that's relevant.

Do the internal menus/test patterns do it too?

Of course when I go to check my projector decides it's fine and not to streak.

Next time it does it I'll give that a check and come back. It does it with different inputs as well.
