Hello all together, i am new in this Forum. I have 2 Sony Projectors, a 1272 and a 1292. I got them for free a while ago Smile

. I've been wishing for one for a while and got lucky. I had 2 CRT Projector a long time ago. I have the 1272 installed on the ceiling.

I have a question about the AKB Line. If i go on the corners of the Phosphor the AKB Line will go over the Phosphor because it is more wide as the Picture itself.

Is this a problem for the Tube? does the AKB Line generate heat on the Tube? I have been looking everywhere but did not find a straight answer.

Maybe a Sony owner can tell me whether he leaves the AKB Line on the Phosphor or let it go outside?

Welcome to the forum! I don't have an answer for you (having never owned a Sony myself) but over the last ~15 years it's definitely a topic that's been discussed dozens of times, so if nobody answers here you can use the search feature and read more.

You're fine, it's not bright enough to damage the tube.
