Can be a way to determine if it's a fast green : take a photo with a very fast expose time, a fast green will have a remanence similar to other tubes.
Here is the difference :

hmm, I don't have a camera, can you do it with a phone camera? I made a phone call, can anything be deduced from this? I can't set the exposure time.

Can such a device generally improve the cooperation of my computer with my Barco 908? Is this something beneficial? Is it a superfluous gadget these days? I have no knowledge, it is available at a low price:

Force your phone's camera to use flash, that usualy sets the exposure to fast.

I'd say it's fast phosphor, since normally the green has the longest persistence, but on your picture it has the shortest.

What is best to do not to change the lamp. Leave element "c" from g70?

I agree also to say it looks like a fast green phosphor.

It won't be any use with the 908.
Some older Barco were tricky on the synchronization signals, so it could help, but newer generation like 908 synchronize like a charm whatever the sync type is from the computer.

I definitely use my 908 with Sony g70 lenses. A fast green phosphor lamp works in it. I decided that a green filter was needed. Overall, I am pleased with the image obtained. I will check with a colorimeter. We will see the results. However, I have a problem. After setting the perfect convergence, the image of the second day is strongly disturbed. Especially the red grid does not hold tight. Until then, all the projectors I used did not have such a big problem - they only required minor quick adjustments or did not require at all, because after heating they returned to good convergence. This is a new projector and I'm surprised that convergence can be lost even during use, when it gets warm, I need to stop the projection and improve it a bit. Sometimes I improve in one place and at the same time break into another place in front of my eyes. Maintaining perfect convergence requires eternal corrections. There is certainly no problem with convergence, I will set it perfectly, but it will fall apart the next day, and then, after heating, it is constantly improved. Warming up the projector does not help. None of the grid setting points are stressful. Advanced setup for the next day is annoying, but repeatedly improving an already heated projector is very annoying to me. Do you have any ideas? Is there a problem with the eternal and advanced mesh improvement in Barco 909? Projector from 2004 production, 180 hours of operation. Can capacitors lose their value at storage age that has never been switched on? If so which? in which section should I change? Everything else works perfectly.

The problem sounds like Bad Capacitors however it could also be because of a bad mechanical setup which in turn is pushing the elctronics to keep convergence correct althought this should be less of a problem on a 909 or 908.

I have a Barco 908 retroblock. Only one new remote control is attached to the housing. I have a second 808 retroblock projector that has an old type wireless remote control. I have a wireless control( meilleur taux ) sensor for 908, but I don't have a wireless remote control. The old wireless remote does not work with the 908. What can I do? What should I remove from 808 to 908, what should I do to run the old type of wireless remote to work with 908? Can this be done? The new type of remote control 908 screwed to the housing can not work wirelessly. Soft 908 - 2,22 ,soft 808s 7,22

Hi, I would like to know why a 908 screwed to the case cannot work wirelessly?

The remote control does not have half the housing. There is no battery connection. I don't know where you can solder the cables to the battery. You need the IR receiver that I got with this projector. Can someone show in the photo where to solder the cables to the battery? Smile / 9v battery? /

These use two AA 1.5v batteries not 9v like the older style remote. You could just extend the cable. Not sure if the IR circuit is in the internal remote.

Hi,
The remote control shown in the picture won’t work anyway without being attached through its cable. It is missing the IR LEDs and maybe even more parts around them. You can see it in the picture: Above the cable connector there’s a notch in the PCB. Two IR LEDs should be there.

Kind Regards,

Hello after years Smile. My barco 908 retroblock has a problem. When it's cold it works at 1080p for 15 minutes. When it warms up, the image breaks down and disappears, /message "no input/. I switch to all other possible resolutions, and everything is fine. The problem is only 1080p, 1080i. I have a scaler, hd fury 2, 3, 3d fury and nono - I checked everything, it didn't help. I changed 5bnc cables, it didn't help. Damage in the projector, where should I put my hands? Smile
