I have a couple of NEC PG 9's that don't function any longer. I'm not sure whats going on the Projector starts up then gives a single blink from the red lights on the top board...then shuts off.
they are orginal units, any suggestions?

Thanks

TV/Projector: All of them!

Almost positive that it is leaking capacitors on one or multiple boards. All NEC PG sets do that. I stopped supporting the PG sets about 5 years ago due to this recurring issue, so unless you know how to solder and want to spend the time to recap all the boards in the set, I'd recommend that you toss them and get something else.

You could try swapping boards, SMPS around. Where are you located?

Don't throw them out, I will take the parts.

They are straight PG's right?

Not going to fix them? If so, I will take everything except the chassi, SMPS, tubes, lenses, I will get a list for you.

Yes they are PG 9's. They really didn't have many hours on them (less than 2000).
let me know what boards you want.
