Hi everybody,

Now and then (once during a movie) my blue raster shrinks slowly (half a square of the internal test pattern with the big squares) and then sometimes it slowly crawls back into position or if it takes too much time i put the prijector in standby and back on and the problem is gone.

I think it could be thermal related or a bad contact. It has been two years now since i cleaned all the contacts

Does anybody has another idea?

Regards,

Ron.

Start by reseating all the connectors.

If the problem persists, swap the cables going to the VDM (Deflection yoke cable with green and yellow wires) between the blue and green circuits.

If the problem moves to the green tube, it's a weak blue channel on the VDM. Replace it before it fails, which COULD cause a spot or line burned tube.

If the problem stays on the blue tube, then it's probably a failing deflection yoke.
