I am looking forward to hosting this meet and will no longer be a platform for MP mods but
new ideas and forward thinking of board modification that will move the VDC in a new direction.
The neck cards are finalized and Gijakys vim solution is being finalized....

Down in Chris Johnsons neck of the woods right now soaking up some sun. When I get back I will continue to dial in the 8500. After masking off the tubes I had a better picture than I ever had. I will calibrate with a meter. Once done I am sure it will look better yet. The HD144 red needs to be tamed. It's easily seen in the 2 shots I posted. Finished testing the output from the PC for Black crush, banding, etc.. Just did some basic calibration with SMPT bars. The Blue hump in CRT's is well known and will be tamed. I've got some low hr tubes in it, so hope that helps. Always wish for better focus, but cannot complain.

I'm there in spirit!

Ok then, tell me more about these digital contestants.. do you really have a representative there at the meet on their behalf? Or will you borrow a JVC RS600 + 4k Sony from your shop where your work, and bring no reps at all?

I have no doubt you will be wowed
during the meet with a fully modded 9" CRT.

I'd consider going if Kurt and I can bury the hatchet Wink

MP and I are friends so I say this in satire, there is a zero percent chance Mike will make it! Prove me wrong Mike Wink

I would be especially interested if you get the Sim and new Sony 4k in the room.

Sony 4k would be a 365ES and it is not as good as the JVC 600 so there would be no point in that
and you never know Mp just might surprise you. The Sim I am working on is the Led or the Vivitek
H9090 led.

Rumor has it Didderon and Andreas the big JVC pushers may
be making the meet. This could be interesting to say the least.

I really intend to make this one.

Hey Craig, how far are you from Greg, because this will also allow me to check out your setup while there.

It would be by air of course, that's too far to drive.. Very Happy

Mike,

Chicago to Fort Wayne is 3 hrs. drive. For ease of congestion you can land at Rockford airport and our home is open to you. 15 minutes South of the airport. I-90 or I-88 takes you into Chicago. Just a suggestion.

I'ts not too far Mike, about 3.5 hours is correct.

You bringing Patrice? I think she's more likely to make it to Chicago than you! And I won't believe you are coming until you are actually there... or here Mr. Green

Why are you calling him a JVC pusher? He is no more JVC pusher than you are Electrohome MP - pusher?
