Anybody throwing out a PJ, or a bunch of parts? I got a 9500 out of a alley, it's a good model, but I think it saw some rain. I got it partially working, but I'm afraid I might be throwing a bunch of parts at it. It's flaky in operation right now, I been running it to see what it's going to do. It ran fine once, then a neck board went out and it seems the LVPS has a mind of it's own.

Hey Deron

Go in and clean all the connections you can get to, the guys recommend Deoxit cleaner; you may have some corrosion from water getting in. Look especially at the top mother board.

Did you exclude glycol leaks by now?
It's very common on marquees and could cause all kinds of sh*t.
Regards, Julian

Thanks guys.

Yeah, I have been going though and cleaning connections.

I have not seen any evidence of glycol leaks yet.

Most of the boards looked pretty good, some looked pretty bad, the ones on the back heat sink had all kinds of corrosion and dirt. They had this PJ in the alley with the lenses pointing to the sky.

Say Deron

Try unplugging the two ribbon cables to the rear heat sink and then try powering up. You will not get high voltage with the vertical board unplugged but if it does power up then your problems are narrowed to vertical, convergence and stig amp.
