I had a very strange experience when I tried to watch a film on my BG808s last night - and it was somehow caused by my UK Electricity supplier insisting that I had a new electronic Electricity Meter Installed.

Everything had worked OK the night before so I did not anticipate any trouble - since all the equipment was switched OFF while the Meter was changed to one with a built in Phone - so meter readings can be taken automatically

So last night I listened to some CD's and then switched on the BG08s to watch a film - but when I tried to play a dvd in the BluRay player - all I got was a Full White screen of Noise - other sources gave me the same result - so I climbed up by the PJ to check if the HD Fury1 and GammaX were lit up - I then tried removing power from the Fury and GammaX ( both of which gave me a Blank Screen ) - but power gave me back the White Noise.

In desperation I tried removing the DVI connector from the HD Fury input and when I plugged it back in - I had my picture back - this had never happened before and it seems that for some reason the HD Fury had stopped responding to the HDMI signal from my Pioneer AVR

Any thoughts on why this happened - Power to the PJ is automatically switched OFF each night when the AVR is turned OFF and is only re-applied to the PJ/Fury/Gammax when I next switch on the AVR.

Blame the HDMI signal, not the projector. I hate HDMI! Smile

HDMI drops or failed hand-shakes, common problem. Very unlikely to be related to your AC power from the city
