These are the big black RGB output amps from the 1209 series projectors. Does anyone have the schematics for these.

Thanks Thumbs Up

Can you share a photo how it looks closer? I always looked for the schematics of these -without success...
All I knew these use a push-pull output stage, perhaps VPA13s in them, if so these should outperform every other Barco neckboard...

Both on ebay and how difficult can it be to make a small print that fits the heatsinc with the right parts?

There are schematics of 1208 with vph08 I think neckboards are the same.

I have some of these. I will take some pics when I can. Someone must have a service manual for the BG1209.

Hi,
the 1209s uses the VPJ08B, too. Had them here, but yes, they're long gone.
Regards, Julian

Ok that neckboard is in the BG1200 from 1992, this is indeed a dual VPA configuration, we just don't know which. Would be interesting if it would turn out that a Barco neckboard from 1992 beats everything they made eversince Smile

EDIT: also in plain 1209?

I believe the same neck board was used for the 1200 and 1209 the only variation was for Sony or MEC Tubes.

This is a shot from Greg Eisemann where he has changed the VPA13 for a VPA18. There are two of these in this amp type.

The faq tips manual section says
1209 Upgraded convergence tray, newly designed double sided circuit boards and dynamic astigmatism adjustment. New RGB end-stages.

Send them to someone for reverse enginering. Clearly there are no schematics.

I am seriously available. I could find out what the connector connect to and what voltages you need.

Ok if there are no schematics then that might be an option
