FYI - If pulling through walls, make sure it's rated as such (usually labelled CL2 or CL3).

I bought all of my in-wall rated 10 ga stuff at home depot.

Kal, Can I ask why you went with 10 gauge ? I have been told over and over again that anything bigger than 12 gauge is a waste of money and completely unnecessary. I am using what amounts to 8 gauge now. I could use some of the lengths I have but several wont be long enough so I wanted to replace it all with the same gauge wire. I am also bi wiring each speaker so every run is really X 2. Thanks.

Err - slight correction. I'm using 12 ga. But I'm bi-wiring, so the combined gauge is closer to 8 (IIRC).

Here's a great reference on how to choose the right gauge for your speakers and run distance. It also debunks snake oil myths and misconceptions, for example "use as big of a cable as you can afford", which is a waste of money.

My HT is in my basement that is the reason I wanted OFC. Less issues with corrosion or so I have been told.
