You will need to do a modification to the V board, this is a common issue with many Barco chassis.

how? v size is not adjustable on the v board with pods only red and blue or isn't that what you mean?
how about to set the yokes then? just turn the yokes when the pj is on and play with it for corner focus?

question:

how do i best adjust the g2 settings without a volt meter, because their are green indicators on my neck boards saying: lights should be off in g2 mode. should i check the g2 settings menu and tweak until light is off or should i pull out a gray scale picture and tweak until 0 IRE is just visible (refrence: Basic Grayscale Adjustment for ES Tube Projectors)

Maybe cheaper to buy a modified vertical board from Curt. It need to have components changed to reduce the vertical height.
As for the G2 follow the guide in the service manual. Its under setup Tips & Manuals/downloads.

No, you need to DECREASE vertical height, not increase it. There is no way to do that with the pots on the board, components need to be changed.

There are no LEDs on the 801. You need a calibration DVD, with a stepped gray scale:

weird i defenetly got g2 indicator leds on the neck of the tubes, i got a perfect grayscale but the problem is the led's are not consistant only the green tube's led is lit when playing movies and somtimes black scenes look a little bit greenish but i red in a old post of somebody saying something about drifting quote: "Amps have adjustment pots for leds and these could be drifted. Resetting these you need scope." so their not realy accurate being that they were set 15 years ago.

so a unsure g2 won't damage my projector?
