Oh my god...... I just popped in here in a long while to see THIS.

Wow... I am so very sad. I really liked Cliffy.

And this just days after I lost my Mom last month.

sh*t! Another good one gone.

Hey guys, I sent a message to Amy, and heard back from her. I won't cut and paste, but while things are getting better.. slowly... naturally they are having a tough time of it.

Cliff's place is for sale, and I've offered for her to send me a list of the remaining HT gear to sell here if she chooses. I'll also send it out on my mailing list once I get it.

Someone posted her Paypal address a couple of pages ago, here it is again:

albermingham@hotmail.com (fixed on Nov 9, 2015 - previous address was incorrect)

Far be it from me to dictate where you each donate a bit of charity to, but if you can, this would be a good cause, esp for those that partook in any of his meets.

I'm going to chip in some cash from every projector sale between now and Christmas, and considering I just sold a pair of 909s, there's definitely some funds coming from me next week.

I've never been to Cliff's but looking at the pics just makes your heart break. Really drives home the point that even if you have everything, the beautiful wife, healthy sons, amazing home, none of it will save you if you can't find happiness within yourself.

On an unrelated note, I hope Amy has some decent equity in that place and can sell it quickly. Can't believe the prices in Indiana, here that house would set you back $500K, so I hope it sells quickly and they can take the next step forward.

Ditto. Very sad. Though to be fair, it wasn't so rosy. Losing a marriage and splitting up your family is rough stuff for even the most resilient and well-adjusted of us.

Unfortunately it's been for sale since the spring. I too hope they sell it soon and that it leaves Amy and the boys with one less thing to worry about.

Did she inherit the house? Is her name on the deed?

Not really our business, but if I recall correctly she was removed as part of the divorce settlement. Not sure what that means for her now. Man, I hope Cliff had some sort of basic will or something in place so the state doesn't take whatever is left.

Damn. So sad.

Yeah, none of my business, the details of what she's going through or what happened. :Leave that kind of stuff to the Kardashians and their ilk.

I don't know |Amy well,. other than meeting her a few times at the earlier meets, but she seems really nice. It's the kids that hopefully come out as well as they can after all this...

The only reason I asked is that it seemed like she was still responsible for the house. If they are divorced or her name isn't on the deed, then she doesn't have to worry about the house at all.

Last time I talked to Cliff and he told me what was going on, he said he had no money and was backed up on the mortgage a lot.

I dont think there will be much or anything left after the sale.

Sad

I talked to Cliff for two hours the Saturday before his suicide and then spent his last day with him and we talked about a lot of things. One thing he made clear to me was that he had prepared a will so that his family would be covered. Hopefully it was done properly and is legally binding to save his family trouble.

That's all I know,

that's good news, gotta give him credit for that. It sounds like he had this planned out and was ready to go.

I don't blame him in any way, IMHO his only real transgression was orphaning 2 boys, but only someone who's battled depression alcohol, and such can understand what's that like. Life is so hard even without divorce, foreclosure, etc. ........ It doesn't take all that much to turn the American dream into a nightmare

Dang, Craig! You were there the same day?? Talk about emotions.

I had a similar experience with a friend of mine. Saw him for the first time in years, planned to get together, and he was gone the next day.

I think Cliff wanted to be sure everything was cool between us. We had our issues for the past few years. We parted as friends though.

It's not about me though. Cliff's family is what really matters here.

This payment was returned for the following reason(s):

abermingham@hotmail.com did not sign up for a PayPal account or did not complete the registration process.

Anyone else get this?
