I think we all feel the same way. This is a sad day indeed. Horrible news. My thoughts go out to the family.

I just saw the sad news. To say it is a surprise is not enough. Even though I only knew him from his posts, I feel that we would have gotten along well IRL. Very sad news indeed

I don't think there is just one; more the combination of divorce, work and financial issues. In many ways he's the last person you'd think would do something like this because he was so alive- If there's anyone who was the life of the party it's Cliff. The energy he exuded drew people to him like few I've met. The flip side is that strong emotions can lead to volatility and discontent.

The only thing I can imagine is that he was in a LOT of pain.

I have some personal insight into this, in my personal life, long ago. I'm just debating how unprofessional it is to post it...

I see Curt, Wm K, Art, Don Wallace, Don K, Arli, Ken W...

MP (I think I was playing with ultra-high ISO night mode). This was probably at Kossman's meet when the lights went out and we still had a great time, went outside and stared at the stars...

Great shots, and that was one (or some pix at least) of the earlier meets, where avs donated some prizes. That was where I pulled an all nighter the day before, and showed up at Midway airport with about 2 hours of snoozing over the course of 48 hours. Then at midnight, Cliff insisted on going to the bar.....Smile

This is terrible, really bugged me when I read it even though I never met Cliff
I feel fortunate for the things that I've stumbled across in my life that have kept me going. I wish Cliff could have found those as well, may he rest in peace.
Did he have a family other than his wife?
