Hellllpppp!!!

My Barco 9 will not power up from standby.

I was able to power up the pj by toggling the main switch at the rear continuously. So eht and quads are not the problem.

I have measured the voltages and tweaked the 17v and raster width a bit , but still the same problem.

The menu voltage diagnostics seems inaccurate so i measured the 17v points with a meter.
The measured voltage was 17v , spot on.

So now after tweaking those two trimpots, i was only able to power it up twice.
Now it just stays in standby mode only.

The leds on the g2 diagnostics board are on, but very faintly lit, when i press the standby switch from the rcu.
Seems like some caps are dry or failing.

I will be swapping in a good smps board later to rule out other boards.\

Hope to hear from you guys.

Regards,

Lars

Nice to hear from a Filipino here, sorry for the late reply.
Taga Malabon ako.

the outcome :

The barco just needed readjustment of the 17v rail, it is a combination of adjusting the h width at 85 and projecting a white raster ,then adjusting the contrast and brightness at 50. Then readjust the smps at 17.5 volts.

A lot of guys PM'ed me and sent me the the service manual, and also got help from Curt himself and also from Mike P.

keep sending me posts.
Very Happy
