Just got my first CRT projector, the Sony VPH-D50HT! It was previously ceiling mounted, and I'm working on setting it up "sitting on a table" style.

I've watched Graham's setup video a couple times, and read through the primer now and am nearly ready to set it up. Here's what I've done so far:

Switched the polarity and the picture is no longer flipped around.
Did the coarse adjustments for focus.
Checked the raster size on the tubes. Looks pretty good, though not perfect (slightly trapezoidal and not fully covering the phosphors still). I don't have the remote yet (it's on its way), so I don't think I can fully flesh out the raster for now.

Now I'm on alignment/convergence, and have done the toe-in for Red and Blue, but I'm having problems with vertical alignment. No matter how high I turn the Vf on R or B, it doesn't get close to the green line at all:

I don't have the remote, so I'm not sure how to change the Vc, is that what I'm missing? Or is there some greater, possibly mechanical, change I have to make?

I'm really excited to make the jump into CRT projectors! Thanks guys!

Wait for the remote! You need it. Patience...

Analog is right, the remote is mandatory. A remote for a D50, G70 or G90 will all work. I don't have any spares right now, sorry!

Thank you for the input guys! My remote should be showing up tomorrow and I'll start the calibration process again properly.
