Do you know the tube condition? I paid $200au for an 808 for spares. The green tube has some burn.
I think 350 Euros is over $400au. I guess the best way is to work out what it is worth to you and make an offer. I am not sure how hard it is to get a spare quad and splitter for the 808 but that maybe worth considering when working out a value.

@gregstv

Tube Rating is somewhat crap on the unit R-9/G-7/B-6 mine is/are much better i have 9/8/9

And i paid 250 Euros with shipping for the 808 Graphics i got.

I actually made him the same offer with 250 Euros plus fuel i´ll blow it will be around 280 Euros in total for me.

But he said his last offer is 350 he wanted 450 Euros before (!)

Could get spares from Germany, but it would sum up pretty easy if buying lose parts.
So a second working unit would be better..

Cheers

A used quad and splitter aint worth a damn, they could fail tomorrow as soon as you go to use them.

$200 for an 808 with any tube wear is a bit rich... You can buy a nice NEC for less than that here.

If you pay €400 for an 8" Barco that is not fitted with new tubes or a new splitter and quad Ronald i will be dissapointed!!

@Case

We are one the same Page, don't think i can/will buy the machine anyway with the sellers expectations. It's just wayyyy to expensive.

It's really hard to find an crt here. You mainly only find stoneage Sonys.. (10series)

Anyhow i really wanna try getting my unit running again i put alot of effort in the ceiling mount. And gave the case a new shiny black finish. Really wan't it to work again.

@everyone

Sadly i guess i am not so lucky. Received the Boards on Thursday. And even with the swapped
Boards i still get the Scan Fail / H- Board Red Led is on.

Yet something did occur, the only thing i didn't do before was take of the Board with the three Raster Width Coils.
Anyway one of the adjustment screws for the raster width was loose (previous owner screwed it in till the end)

So i think when i put the barco on the ceiling it made contact with one of the three switches (because the adjustment screw was loose.) under the coils and shorted something.

A Special thanx to Jorge/Barclay66 who helped me serveral times with his technical support !!

If anyone has an idea what i could try before i go nuts... Any help appreciated.

Another Update, picked the Barco 808 up today for 22 Euros from Bavaria.

The Unit works flawlessly need to swap out the green tube because of burn it (got spares anyway) so i got a running machine again.

Thanks again @ everyone who helped me in finding a solution to my problems with the previous 808.

Cheers

Hey Guys !

So i am running in some new weird issue, maybe i am just stupid.. who knows.

After getting convergence roughly done on the now working G808 i connected my HDFury1 via VGA/BNC to Port 5.
HDMI Cable from the fury is connected to my lumagen HDP (Which is connected to my several game consoles)

Interestingly i only get a picture when switching to Port4 , i then get a noisy picture from a svhs source (amiga cd32) without any color. On Port5 nothing at all (Aswell if i choose a source like my xbox360 or xboxone i don´t even get a picture at all neither on port4 or port5)

I already switched out the Input Boards / RGB Switcher same result. Is the fury the culprit maybe?

It seems something is wrong with the sync signals, cause on port 4 (noisy picture)

Any advice would be cool..

Cheers
Ronald

One more thing.. will wire the bnc connector cables today so i can crosscheck if it works with bnc/bnc from the lumagen.

@everyone

All is finally good, seems the fury does have issues.
Connected via BNC/RGBHV today did a rough converence alignment nowhere near perfect ... but still..

Sorry for the crappy Quality will make some nice ones with my dslr soon.
In person it really looks nice already. My stupid phone camera added all the noise and overbrightness.

Xbox360 @ 720p to lumagen at 1080p/60 just for a quick try.
Will settle down for a 1080i or 720p anyway.

Cheers
Ronald
