Damn. Might of lost the CPU from the battery failure.
One more try.
Again, main switch on but not running.
Press "808" and then press "code"
Hopefully the readout says main menu.
if it does then press "1"
Should read "baud rate = 9600
If not 9600 press 1 or 2 to adjust until reads 9600
Then press "3" for main menu
Then press "3" should ask "store changes ?"
Press "1" to accept
Press "3" to exit
Then turn off main toggle.
Then try restart and see what we got.
if all this does not work the we may be in trouble.

How many hours does it show? 31 code
The only thing there that concerns me is the vert sweep fail. The other 2 are normal.
At least we are making progress and the CPU board seems ok now.

The board at the bottom middle of the projector with 2 cards sticking up are the sweep reversal cards. Check harnesses from there to the vert board and the deflection yolks and check upright cards for correct orientation. Do all this with projector unplugged.

Try turning it back on and do a "55" "code"
Should say registration on or off. Then try a restart and then a "30" "code" and see if vert sweep is still fail.
if still fail, shut it down, hook up a source, have the source running and start projector.
I doubt this will matter but no harm in trying.
If still says vert fail try a "89" "code"
Should say flyback narrow
Restart and try "30'" "code" again.
We may be going no where here but might as well rule everything else out.

Oh, If all this does not work, shut it down and pull the vert board and look for any bent pins on any connectors.

I meant check for bent pins on the vert board.
But before you do that, shut it down and on the CPU board set that last switch that is on, to off, so all switches are off. Restart it and I want you to tell me which red leds on the cpu board are on and which ones are blinking. Then check for vert sweep failure again.
