So, I got a little wild today and decided to switch my MEC tubes (and 808 amps) with Sony tubes (and 808s amps) from the 808s. All the parts have been sitting in storage for about a year and half...thought I would get it done today. Problem is the ground wire (and shinny metal shield) from the MEC mounting brackets does not exist on the Sony brackets. The RGB amps has the hookup for two wires, but I only see the one wire grounded on the neck of the tubes. Where does the missing wire go???

Looks like I can answer my own question. See image below. I'm missing this. How important is it to have this piece? Did the sony ship without these? I think I can get some in a few weeks, but it would be nice to not have to wait to test the setup.

I have a lot of those. Absolutely mandatory to put those in. Without them the HV has no ground, and you'll get arcing everywhere.

Thanks Curt. I'll check with the guy who I bought the mounts and tubes from and if he doesn't have them I know where to go.
