Convergence problem on Cine Max

Yep, that is all they do, i run mine on eco mode because its easily bright enough. I tried boost when i first got it and found the brighter scenes to be abit too bright, more so in video games when the screen flashes full white.

Ok economic looks fine indeed. One positive thing of this Cine Max is that the convergence does not seem to drift or only a very little perhaps. Smile

Mine doesnt drift either, but itll be out of alignment on start up

Look what I found. There is a service bulletin for the 909 regarding the blue convergence.
I checked my convergence out board and the 10 Ohm resistors are not replaced with the 100 Ohm as they suggest to prevent oscillations in the blue convergence! Perhaps check this with your own 909.

I just bought a 3840x2160 computer monitor, so ive been playing some PC games on that

I found two service bulletins for the 909 family. Do you have more? If so please send them to me.

I have one for the caps for standby. Replacing them fixed a peeping noise. And this one about blue convergence.

Those resistors are so small that they'll require a steady hand and good soldering skills to be replaced.
A pro should do it, IMHO.

Yes I did not do it yet also because it's priority is to improve the reliability. I will ask a professional friend when he has some time.
