We're prepping to move, and I figured the easiest way to single-handed get my Marquee 8000 from the ceiling would be to remove the lenses and tubes first. Is there a guide that shows how to break down a Marquee?

I wouldn't try to take the tubes out while it's on the ceiling. When I put up or take down CRT's I pull the lenses, case cover and any cards that can be pulled out easily.

No! Don't do it with an 8" set! you'll only lighten the set by about 25 lbs, and once you take off that metal plate across the tubes and lenses, all three tube and lens assemblies will fall out.

the projector with lenses is only 140 lbs, if you're not comfortable taking it down, get another (sober) guy or two to assist.

That set is not worth removing anything form it. 2 guys should be able to handle it unless it is above 12 feet high.
