I am getting ready to install a g70 in the other side of my basement as I said before. My concern is that it is set up as a floor mounted and I want to make it ceiling mounted. Will that change the way the image is on the tubeface ? Will I have parts of the image on the screen that are in new phosphor ? Creating brighter and darker areas in the image ?

Yes, there`s no getting around that due to the keystone image on the tube face. Either live with a bit of brighter phosphor on the left and right areas, or shrink the image to be completely within the wear area, and wear the tubes out a bit faster.

Curt's right in that the problem is usually that keystone changes quite a bit. For instance in my room, my screen is about a foot from the ceiling and probably 2.5 feet from the floor. If I wanted to move from ceiling to floor and not change keystone, I'd have to move my screen down to be a foot off the floor.
Curt's suggestion about just moving the projector back a bit is probably the best. The good thing is that it's likely you'll have a little *less* keystone ceiling-mounted, so you might be OK, actually. I think it's better going from floor to ceiling than the other way around. You'll just have to mount the G70 a little further back. I'd just mount it on unistrut so you have a foot or 18 inches of flexibility in either direction from your current floor mount location, and you should be covered.
Cheers,
SC
