|
|
Hi,
The srews that fix the hinges to the cover of my BG808 are missing. I tried all sort of screws that I had lying around, but they all didn't fit. The plastic and the holes seem OK, so I would like to find the screws that go in there.
The service manual lists them as "WINGLIN 3x15". Never heard that, anyone knows what that is? I cannot find any refernce to this even on the internt.
cheers
Martin

Winglin screws looks like those used for wood ( holtz ).

If you can't find any, I have some, and am scrapping more Barco lids this weekend that I can steal them from.

Yes, thats true. But these wood-screws definitily do not work, at least not with 3x15 dimensions. And those for sheet-metal (blechschrauben) that have a slightly different thread do not work either.
What does Winglin stand for? Is this the name of a defunct company, or some very old standard?
cheers

Hulio,
I forgot to ask: can you measure the thread spacing of theses screws?
cheers

Not sure why they are named winglin, but it means the head is a conus shape for a cross screwdriver.
My caliper measured 1,2mm between two tops.
You should be able to find those in a shop, else let Curt help you.
Besides, i think all 3x15 have the same thread.
Regards,
Stan
