Does anyone know whether Sony SD-187 tubes are compatible with a VPH-1020Q projector? The original tubes were SD-130s.

Sony Pinouts are the same. The tubes can be interchanged but and there is usually but the SD187 is brighter but not as sharp. I have no idea if there will be any other issues but you should be able to install the SD187 tubes.

Some sets used both, for whatever reason. Ive only ever had the 07MS Sony tubes, and at 240p they are razor sharp when under 5,000 hours.

Same cant be said after 50,000-60,000 hours though, extremely soft!!
