I have a customer that has a TAW800 projector, which is a Marquee 8500. He either wants to upgrade to 9" tubes, or I've offered that maybe going to a Sony G90 is a better way to go overall.
Is anyone here close to Charlotte NC that could do the labor portion to either change out the tubes/mounting rails/lenses, or to pull down the TAW and install and set up the G90?

Curt, my parents live in Charlotte and I go there regularly. I also have a job coming up to install a new 4K Lumagen on a new Sony 4k projector in Charlotte. I don't have dates on that job yet, but I will find out about it soon. I can go to Charlotte almost any time though.

Craig,
Don't mean to hijack but was unable to PM you. I am in Raleigh and could also use some help. Have had Curt work on several of my boards years ago, and may be reviving the CRT after 8 years of storage. Its an NEC 9200, but won't power up now. I will be emailing Curt and starting a new thread, but with your imminent trip (if not past I hope), wanted to make sure you saw this. Thanks!

I'd be happy to do the work and thanks for giving me a heads up. I haven't made the trip yet because the client in question decided to postpone for a couple months. Whenever you are ready let me know because I get down there pretty often.
If you like, go ahead and send me an email with your full name, address, phone numbers, and projector (just so I have it in one email). I'll then build a client profile for you in my database so that you'll be updated when I plan the trip to Charlotte.
The 9200 sets are pretty straight forward so it won't be too expensive to have me out.

I would add that if you are going to go the CRT route then you might want to look into upgrading your set. G70s and XGLCs can be had for next to nothing these days.
