Do you have the power supply for the Fury? If not, try that first.

Try plugging a computer monitor into the output of the Fury. When you say the computer doesn't boot with the Fury connected, you mean the computer won't even turn on, but when you disconnect the Fury, it powers up fine? If so, then the Fury is loading down the computer somehow, and the two are not compatible. that doesn't really make sense, but that's how I'm reading your wording.
Also recognize that you need a really low resolution on that computer output for it to display on the TV. 1080i is a bit of a weird computer resolution, and some older TVs need exactly the resolution into the TV input, or nothing will be displayed.
If the computer monitor shows the image of the computer, but the Mits doesn't, it may not be possible to use the Mits as a computer monitor.
Try 640 X 480 resolution out of the computer as well.

the computer will power on, but i assume it gets stuck on post, but i dont know for sure because i can't see anything on the screen. i tried plugging in a roku to the hdfury and got 480p video. but when i switched it to 720p, i lost video. the tv is capable of 1080i and 720p, but i dont know what's wrong with the hdfury. i read that i might need to edit the edid, and i downloaded power strip but there's no way for me to load the new file.
