I think there is 4 wires isnt there? It wont be infrared, there is no sensor near enough to it.

Perhaps it has a dual function and can be taken out? The only way for infrared to get to a sensor would be reflected to the backend.

Doubt that too but anyway closing the remote door made the temp sensor act strange and the remote led lighted spontaneously. That last thing did not happen anymore and the temp sensor seems to be stable too. So probable it was a coincidence. If the temp problems return without the remote problems we wil be sure there is no connection Very Happy Hope all problems stay away and in the meantime I will live by the rule 'if it ain't broken don't fiks it' Very Happy And another wise mans said 'don't f*ck with a MAX!' Very Happy

I think 2.3x was the latest soft. version for Cine 9. My 909 has version 3.11 and i believe Francisco's SEOS 919SP have even a higher version.

My fixed controller has firmware 3.20 but it is customized for SEOS (not that I see any major changes)

Hi guys. Been a while but I stumble on a problem that I can not solve. Perhaps someone knows what this is.

When I have a movie with a very white sky there seems to be a sort of streaking in the sky. When I display a white testpattern there is nothing, than I only see white so it is not wear. One time while I had paused the movie to make a picture the streaking suddenly disappeared. There has to be movement in the sky to make it visible.

Here are two pictures from different movies Wink Normally I don't notice it but in the movie Hanna it was very visible. Than when you search in other movies now and than it is visible.

Anyone have any idea ???? Thanks!

Hi as far as I could see there was nothing wrong and this image has a huge black band on top and is on the middle of the phosphor area.

I am starting to think it is something digital. Perhaps the hdmi input cart?

Here is an image of full white

It certainly looks like it but the full white is fine.

I just found out that the grey scale was awful. Much to much red but blue and green had the same slope. I could not easily find out how to adjust the greyscale like I am used to so I did a reset of the greyscale.

Now it seems much better Very Happy Still there is a little streaking but it is totally different. Can i conclude that the gamma for one or more colors was not right? Some parameters where maxed.

But now how do I calibrate a Cine 9?

I see blue slope and midpoint? blue and red midpoint?

I was trying to get red lower with a 30 ire window but did not succeed.

The I1pro and I use HCFR with the greyscale for dummies guide.

I want to adjust red low and high but see only an adjustment for the middle. Should I use ire 50 or 30 or 80?

At first i would do a 2-point greyscale at 20 and 80 IRE.

If These two are good Check the other IRE of they Match.

But the Cine Max does not have a low and high adjustment of red. I only see middle in the menu.

And I see nothing for green ???

Well I am not used to Barco but with all my other projectors there where two controls for each color.

Anyway I don't think the calibration is causing the streaking because it is still there but a little different.

There is controls for that, its in the picture menu, select custom instead of one of the preset kelvins.

As I know your Barco it's certainly not the tubes or glycol or whatsoever. I also don't think it's the PJ itself. Either it's somewhere in your source chain or RGB2 card.

For greyscale start main menu selected source > picture tuning > select D6500 (factory setting) > then you'll see that you can adjust red - green - blue low-end and high-end. Leave green only adjust red and blue. start with 80% pluge pattern 10% white field, adjust high-end aka gain control to get it right on d65 with continues readings. adjust low-end on 30% pluge, go back and forth with these 30 and 80 IRE adjustments. breakpoint and slope is for further fine tuning.

Whats your FTL reading on 80% and 100% white ?

Oh man I selected 6500K and indeed there is custom so that is the trick thanks!

By the way the picture is still amazing I think the effect mentioned earlier must have something to do with gamma because it is less now.

Just two shots with the phone.
