I would probably say Cliff right off the top of my head. IIRC there was a guy in Sweden, Finland, or somewhere around there that had a pretty big screen. I think it was a Torus. There were/are several other Torus/CRT combos out there, but I haven't heard about them in years.

Just to be clear, it takes two CRT projectors to light up a screen that size. In Nashou's case, it's a "blend" on a 2.40:1 "Cinemascope" or "'scope" for short, screen, which means each projector projects about half the screen, with an overlapped area (blend) in the middle. In Cliffy's case, I think his is 12-foot wide 16:9 screen IIRC, with his two G90's "stacked", or both projecting on the whole screen.

I have seen pics of GIno's blend.....if I had room .....I would do that. Nash probably would be my next guess. Curt clams he eventually will. But he now has a chick and is getting laid instead of working on his theater.

Oh, I forgot about Nash, but I was thinking of screens that are actually used for something other than test patterns. Shocked Laughing Mr. Green

Crabb is right. It really just depends on how little ft/lmbs you are willing to accept. Personally I like a bright image.

I only have a 11.3' wide 2.37:1 AT 4K screen, but I get 12ftL with my RS55 and have about 350 calibrated lumens to spare as the bulb ages.

Cliff's is 10' wide, with the first row of seats at 10'. Amazing! Depending if he really does tear down his HT, I may buy that screen off him.

120" diagonal 4:3 screen. 8 foot wide. Not big enough considering the 80" TV's out there (look like crap to me but they are there). I still love my 60" panny plasma for "normal" tv. I saw the 80's demo'd and the pixels were so big it reminded me of 6 yr old digital projector tech. You shouldn't see pixels at normal seating distance (1-0-1.5 x width of screen).

I could push more screen size, but this time round there will be my old cheapo pull down screen with normal TV behind it so the old screen lives still. Front row it's pretty good.

I have a Screen Excellence Enlightor 4K screen, although I had it custom made on a bare 1" aluminum tube frame to go behind my CIH Masquerade.

How do you like it?

I think that is the same material that Seymour is using. If so, then it is incredible.

I love it - zero texture, zero moire, and very negligible effect on audio that can be eq'ed out. It's a little pricey, but if you have the cash to spend it is worth every penny as an AT solution.

Didn't Andres (antorsae) have a mondo screen? I think he lit it with 2 9500 Ultras but I can't remember how big it is.
