Try swapping the blue and red cables where they enter the projector and see if that is the issue. If blue now works, everything that should be red will be blue, and youll have no red....

Do you get blue on the test screens?

I can't even get the test patterns on blue. It was working the last time I had turned it on but the blue test patterns were very dim.

Does this set use Panasonic or Sony tubes? The Sony tubes have a round brass cap on the top (glycol expansion chamber) that you can see over each tube, under the top cover of the projector. there's usually a mesh screen covering them. If so, most likely your blue tube is dead. I've seen this before with Sony tubes, not the Panasonics.

So I guess I need to retube the whole set. It has the Sony tubes.

On the projector keypad, press the recessed 'addr' button, then press 0,0,0. That will reset the CPU board to the remote. If not, then it's possible your power supply is bad, and won't turn on.

I do have ONE brand new set of tubes here for that set. You may not need to retube the whole unit, but I don't think you'll find a good blue tube, and I've got two guys ahead of you looking for one as well. I won't break this set up though.

I've never noticed that the green is shorter! Should be the same length?

I can't remember the Sony part numbers off the top of my head, the BArco part numbers should be stamped on the sides of the tubes, a 762XXX part number on each one.

The power supply may be toasted. Check the processor lights when you press the remote, do the lights on the controller change? The processor will stop flashing rapidly, and chances are at some point, the error light will flash. if so, chances are the SMPS died. If the indicator lights don't change at all when you press the buttons on the remote, then the remote may be bad, as that means the Barco isn't receiving the IR commands.

Does the flip out panel on the back of the Barco turn the set on and off?

I have had the IR receiver on the front of the set die in a couple of sets, and that also causes the one on the back of the set to not respond. Happened in a 909 the other day...
