Good luck for the settings Mr. Green

Mr. Green it's a joke

There's a dvd from Graham Johnson, with the complete explanation of 1292 setup.

You might be lucky and find the new fans will make it tolerable with no hush box. Just look for the other fans in quieter design with the same pressure in mmH2o

Yes, I know the dvd but :

1/ Is it understandable for a mediocre english-speaker?

2/ Is the method relatively easy to implement?

Best regards.

And the answer is : I've never setup a crt projector.
I calibrated many digital projectors, flat-screen TVs, hifi and home-cinema amplifiers etc... (I sold hifi and home-cinema materials during 6 years between 2002 and 2008) but none crt projector...

So I think this DVD can be useful!

Youll have no problem, we all started knowing very little.

It all takes time, you have the advantage of being able to purchase a well made DVD that is apparently focussed largely on your machine, so there will be very little guessing on your part.

As time goes by and you set it up, youll come back time and time again to go through it all again and again, each time you will get a slap in the face with just how much better you can make it as your knowledge improves.

Youve done a great job with the painting of the case, Crabb is right, it does look great in black!! Very well done Smile

Ill post up a couple pics of my machines shortly, youll see that i too am rather partial to black!!

Thanks for your encouragements and your compliments, it's very kind.
The case was white and the painting in poor condition.

I'm going to replace the fans and then begin the setup with G. Johnson dvd.

Your machines look great, in black! I love the Cinemax...

Bye.

That's right.
I'm going to paint my other machines with the same matt black.

Id be interested to see how loud a 1292 is compared to some XGs, as they are VERY loud as well.

The thing is, unlike a Barco, a Sony or an NEC will work very reliably for a very long time Laughing

Hi,

I indicated the results of my measures (with original fans) in the subject concerning fans. I'll put the results with the new fans to judge the difference.

In comparison, the result at 3 feet with my BG808 (no fan mod) is 46-47dB, 52dB with my 6PG+ (no fan mod) that is these machines are two or more less noisy than the 1292.
