Hey gang, FYI.. I'm catching a redeye out of Seattle on WEds night, putting me into OHare on Thursday at 8 AM. Will rent a car, and am heading to Craig's place for dinner on Thursday night/late afternoon.

Heading to Cliffy's on Friday sometime, and am flying out of Midway Sunday about 1 PM I think.

So I've got a bit of time to kill on Thursday. Tourist recommendations between OHare and Craig's place, which isn't far off downtown Chicago? The g/f will want to take the car once she drops me off at Cliff's, to see stuff around St John, In. She says there's some national (?) park pretty close to Cliff's?

If they did that at Cliff's, Cliff would have to rip out the carpet and chairs and....oh wait that would work. Very Happy

It has nothing to do with midget strippers or porn... Smile

I can't remember any good hotels by Cliff. It looks like there might be some places in Schereville and Merrillville.

Chad and I stayed at the Comfort Inn on Hwy 30/Lincoln Hwy, and it was good from my recollection. There's also a White Castle a few hundred yards away, which was handy in the wee hours. Wink

If I don't lose at least 7 of the 10 lbs I gained on my last road trip, there will be no White Castle for me!

Nope. On the plus side, I'm getting excited, and I'm looking forward to seeing everybody! Thumbs Up

On the downside, I'm traveling the next week and leaving right from Chicago, so not nearly as excited about missing an entire weekend with my wife and kids, and being away from home for 8 or 9 days. Thumbs Down

I know how that feels bro. Been traveling regularly for 3 years now with my job to the west coast. It can get very lonely. It's even worse now that I'm getting divorced but I am starting to get used to it.

I'm actually going to leave for a while to clear my head after the meet. My boss is going to let me keep working while I travel so I am going to Tom's place for a week to rip his blend down and stack for him LMAO. Then from there I'm going to Melbourne Beach Florida to hang with my family for a few weeks. I am really looking forward to it. The last few months have been really bad and my patience has finally reached the limit so time to go try and get some PEACE and gather my thoughts for a while.

Bah, after we're done with you partying, we'd have to pack you on a pallet to Melbourne Beach, dude! Very Happy

Have you updated the guest list lately? I believe AnalogRocks is coming down as well. It will be nice to meet him, we've spent a crapload of hours on the phone over the years. Smile

Yes, looking forward to meeting him!

The list is not my job bro. Someone took that responsibility earlier in this thread I think LMAO!

Right now, my only priorities are staying employed, drinking like a fish, and living life on MY TERMS Smile

Four more - Jay Allan, Big E, Mac, and Mr. Green - have all expressed interest.

Has anybody reached out to Clarence?

I believe Clarence expressed interest, and then there's Analog Rocks (is that firm?), and mr_ro_co was also thinking about coming.

If you're coming, and you're not on the list, or if you're on the list and not coming, let me know and I'll tweak and update so Cliffy knows how much hush money he'll need to collect to keep the neighbors from calling the cops.
