Hah! Google Images, my friend… With my browser in "Private Browsing" mode.
I made that years ago for the triple-stack meet... I can only imagine what a search like that would yield at this point with the proliferation of cell phones with cameras.
Not going to find out.

Ah, OK… Then, I have two words for you: Because 1979.
Better stop talking about cars before we upset Curt any more.

Yeah, I am aware it is an old car. It is still pathetic. E and AR can revel in their pre-war vehicles. Unto each their own.
It is funny though that if I drive my trip will be three times as long as Es, but I will still spend less on fuel.
Now back to a regularly scheduled program of hoping Jay saves me from midgets and brings full size women.

What's this "if" crap? Get your ass in gear and come!
Yes, 70's cars were horrible - especially the big lead sleds like Caddies and E's Cordoba. People forget how far we've come… From when 10-12mpg was par for the course - oh, and with 150HP, sh*t handling, sh*t safety - to big, safe, quiet, comfortable, great-handling, even sporty, four-door sedans that are pushing, or even exceeding 30mpg. Nearly triple the fuel economy, but also so much better in almost every other way.
For anybody that has a long drive, consider doing what I always do… Rent a friggin' car! A lot of the car rental companies have weekend specials, and include unlimited mileage… It's so cheap, the rental company loses their ass on high-mileage rentals like mine.
When I go to Detroit, it's usually around $160 for an an entire week, and that's not the cheapest I can find - it's just the most convenient. I get 35MPG most of the time. Orlando to Chicago is 2200 miles round trip. Chattanooga to Chicago is 1200 miles round trip - about the same as my regular Iowa-Michigan trips. At $100 or so for a rental car, and $120 for gas, there's just no reason to drive a personal vehicle, rack up the miles on it, and risk breaking something. Rent a cheap car and put the miles on somebody else's vehicle.

Gonna up the ante here this morning:
I'm going to bring the g/f along to Cliff's place so it's not a massive sausage fest like it's been every other year. (Cliff's approved this).
To offset the presence of a female, I will bring pacific salmon with me. The g/f has a connection to get smoked salmon, right off a boat in the Fraser River, or I can bring frozen salmon for you guys to smoke. You tell me what to do.
Second, I will take a couple of extra days off to goof around in Chicago. I think we'll spend a day at the Chicago Art Institute, any other recommendations?

Flying most likely. Not sure I trust the weather yet. I will rent a car though, so I will be mobile, flying in and out of Midway airport.

Cliffy said he's busy, so I'll chip in on the guest list. I'm sure I missed somebody or screwed something up, so let me know. Since I have magical mod powers, once it's more solid, I'll put the master list on Cliffy's first post.

BTW, I took the liberty of editing the title to add the dates. If this is incorrect, change it NOW as I'm going to be booking the flight this week.

I don't think E or Mr. Green are coming. They said they would like to, but can't for one reason or another.
I thought I saw Clarence online in the last week, so maybe he knows about it.
As for me, I am planning on flying in. I am sick of driving.

Id be happy to drive, but having to sit on the left hand side of the car to do it and then drive on the wrong side of the road would be an experience
