Hello,
I was hoping some of you might be able to help me. I am having two separate issues with the tv, any advice would be greatly appreciated! I am somewhat of a novice with tv's and I just replaced the lamp as I thought that might fix it.
1.) There are a couple of yellowish spots on the tv and the white seems off in general looking yellowed. For example: the ice on a hockey game is definitely off color with a hint of yellow. I've read about algae and such on the lamp, so I put in a brand new lamp (which was quite easy) but the yellowish tone is still there. Should I clean wipe down the lens that is attached to the tv with a screen cleaner??? Any other suggestions since I just put in a brand new clean lamp?
2.) There are blue dots that show up ALL OVER the screen whenever there is a dark scene being shown. If I'm watching a tv or movie scene where they are outside after dark, the blue dots (almost look like blown pixels?) show up everywhere. This is not an issue any time there are more "lighted" scenes. But watch Dark Knight and you see a ton of blue.
Again, any help would be greatly appreciated!
Regards,
Tim

Your 'light engine' is toast. Others may disagree, but it's time to scrap the set, as the light engine is over $1200 and at this point it's probably discontinued. This is a very common problem on these type of sets.
