I did some tests with lifting the projector nose up and down. For that reason (I am working alone) I had to drop one of four parts of ceiling mount from the Ultra (including the Ultra) two inches on a rack. Did that a few times before without problems.
Now the Ultra boots like normal with all the sound including scan lock - but no picture on any tube. No menus and no input! I expect/hope that it is just a board that sits lose now. Tested HDm and FGM so far without success. Help!

Try to reseat all the boards. Especially the HDM. Which LEDs are on on the CLM and the LVPS?

Hey guys, thanks for the speed.
Indeed there is no high votlage crackle.
And no led I can see. At LVPS all leds off. Can not see the back of the projector.
The LVPS front side received the hit....
Reseated HDM/FGM - as these are the only ones I can reach.

Ok guys, as you know I am not an expert in electronics as you are. But with your theories I was able to extrpolate a solution. A solution that incoporates my strong sides, but most importantly my motivation and my ultra short patiencs.
I did hit the Ultra´s LVPS, HVPS, HDM and FGM segments - powersuplies harder than the the boards for sure.
Then I switched on the Ultra, and did hear the hv cracking again - short after that the the 1080p72 showed up on the carpet.
Try this with your digital!
I hope it stays this way, because I guess as long as I do not hit the Ultra again I will be safe.

There might be a lost screw somewhere in the chassis causing a short. Most likely against the back plane. I had a screw lodged into the 24 volt line for the belly fans on my first set. I discovered why it wouldn't work 5 years and 5 more marquees later when i began striping it down to the chassis. Must have got there when I moved it from the sellers house where we had it showing an image and the 5 hour drive home to my cellar.

I have an TAN 8500 Ultra - on one of my fist test a screw fell into it. I never bothered, but I guess I should remove it before I start to use the TAN....
