I saw on Ebay a product from China that allows you to run a HDMI connection RGBVH for only $8!

http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574906687&toolid=10001&campid=5336656890&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2F360725346443%3FssPageName%3DSTRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT%26_trksid%3Dp3984.m1439.l2649

link updated to support the forum - thank you!

I plugged the hdmi cable end into my Ruko unit, plugged a 5 rgbvh breakout cable in the other end and connected it to my Sony switcher

It works great!! I'm buying another one for my Blue Ray and anything else hdmi I might buy. After all I went thru ----

Hi,

The link seems to be dead or the product no more available...

Can you give us the connector reference?

Best regards.

Try it on your BD player first, the Roku might not use HDCP encryption so we have to see if this also strips the HDCP.

THe link works fine for me, but as Nash says, it may not work with all sources, makes or models. the fact that it relies on the HDMI power form the source device has me suspicious, but try it and report back.

You're right. Some tests must be made. But I'm curious.

I am also in France.

I bought a hdmi to vga adapter on amazon.

http://www.amazon.fr/Cable-Matters-Adaptateur-M%C3%A8tre-Charge/dp/B00879DM56/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1389802638&sr=8-2&keywords=vga+hdmi

It works with the maximum resolution of 1080i50 not 1080P50.

Sony Bdp S350 -> Hdmi to vga adapteur -> 10m Vga Cable -> Vga to BNC 1m Cable -> Sony vph1292

Looks interesting. Hopefully Craig will grab one and test it out.
