Looking for pictures of theaters that have that low ceiling in the basement. I would like to see a few and how they aranged their seating....FYI...mine is 6'11

See my gallery pics which have my old HT. Ceiling was just over 7' once finished but even lower in spots. The trick to ceiling mounting a CRT projector when low ceilings are a concern is to put the projector right over the seats so that there are no bumped heads. This is one of the major deciding factors I had with going with a Barco Cine 8 with the short throw lenses. I could put the projector directly over the front row of seats and light up my 8' wide screen. Heads were about 11' back when seated (IIRC).

Dido here, ~7'-2" ceiling. I just hung the PJ above the main viewing seats. Elevated back row has a perfect view also.

yeah i am mounting on the floor. My projector is a VV1. That unit and the mount are 2 feet deep. However....sh*t Afryia.....damn nice room you have there. Great man cave!! I am buiding one myself but lack the "wideness" you enjoy.

My ceiling in my basement is very low in the theater section. 6'1" to be exact. Needless to say my pj is floor mounted. The only way a pj is getting mounted to the ceiling is if I go digital and that isn't going to happen anytime soon.

My cave (HT) downstairs has a beam running the length of the room at a height of 6'1" and the ceiling is at 6'6".
The room width is 12'8" and length is 18ft. (I'm metric so that imperial conversion was hard, lol)
I use a 120in majestic scope screen with my JVC HD550 projector and Aussiemorphic MK3+C Anamorphic lens.
Scope is the only way to go for a low ceiling imo as the 16x9 image is only 92inches and sitting in a recliner if it was any bigger you would not see the bottom of the screen due to either your feet getting in the way or having to physically look down!
I do not have AT screen material so the LCR speakers sit below and beside the screen which I would like to change in future (along with allot of other things like a black room).
I do have photos but not sure how to shrink them as they are to big for upload? I used to use yahoo email as it would shrink them but not anymore!

Hi BJC, welcome to the forum.
Download IfFanView, (free download) open your picture, use the CTRL+R and resize them 1024 pixels wide or less and save them as a .jpg file. They should upload here fine then.
