I got a pile of stuff in the mail today in order to convert my BG1209/2 to continous scheimpflug. First off, the chassis seem to differ. I was under the impression that I might have to make new holes and use nuts since there would be no press-nuts in the correct spots. If I line up the top piece which the housings are attached to to match the outer cover, the hinges will go several centimeter further to the front than they should. I can cut out a piece of sheet metal to extend it but there are other differences too like ventilation holes differ and the side plates are too short on mine for the top piece to be attached with both screws on each side.
This must have been done before. What is the correct procedure?

No, if it fails, I'll stop using CRTs and sell both projectors in parts. Besides, I have these for getting across the ice. Great stuff.

This L-bracket seems to differ. Do someone happen to have a photo of it at a different camera angle where the screw holes close to the front is visible?
Also, can someone measure the length of this part and/or close-up of the holes at the front?

Sorry, not really since I already have this chassis. I need to find out the difference between 1209/se and the chassis in your picture. Can you take a photo of your equivalents to R805628 and
R805033 in your 1209s? Preferably with a ruler or tape measure for scale.

R365005 is different because in 1209s there are three pieces with holes for tube's fix, scheimpflug and others.

I know. I mean the equivalent panel in your 1209s to the R805033 in 1209.
I used your picture and extended it to show what I mean.
To change the parts in question, how much do I need to strip down? Flip the projector over, take off the outer casing, then what?
Also, someone suggested me to change out some capacitors on the motherboard while I'm at it because they fail over time and are difficult to change unless the projector is in parts. Which capacitors would this be?

I measured the length to be 565 mm, which should be within margin to match your measurement. The holes does however differ. Thank you very much for your picture!
Since I need the bottom plate and top cover and pay for shipping for them, I might just as well get the side plates as well instead of drilling.

Does anyone have the exploded view of the 1209s chassis for reference? I have the service manual but no chassis in it.

Where in Sweden are you located? I have a 1209s/E hanging over my head. If you are close you can come measure 
I am in the northeast part of 08-area.
And walking on the ice is not that fun, I am waiting for a few more cm of ice and then I will be living up to my avatar this year again!

Lucky bastard! I have ordered all the metal parts needed now, unless the bottom plate is different too. Perhaps some assistance will be needed when it's time to mount everything in terms of photos.
About 180 km I think.
Perhaps I should change mine to a picture of me doing four wheel powerslide as a season special. My Smithers injecting himself with the experimental drug to stay straight didn't end up either animated or very good.
Also, turns out I need to modify the mounting points of my skates to accommodate any normal type of ski boot. *rant*

I have a 1208s/2 chassis "lying" around but I guess that dont have the continuous scheimpflug? Otherwise it might be possible to use it as a donor?
