Hiya Nash...don't wanna hijack but yeah...took a lot of work and reconnecting but we're shoulder to shoulder again and I didn't have to sacrifice my cajones in the process! If I had it to do over though?...I'd consider becoming a monk. Mr. Green
Yeah I hate to give up the 'quee.
If I can't find someone local (or someone who doesn't care about insane shipping costs) I'll either crate it and take it with me or *gulp* part it out.
It's great to see most of the old crew and some new 'faces' here. Thumbs Up

I have updated the list and put all available receivers in the first post so it would be easy to find. I will add or alter that list as it needs to be.

I am surprised at what little interest their is. Only a few have gone. I thought there were a lot more hobbyist on here wanting to tinker and learn, When I was just starting out, I would of been thrilled for a deal and equipment like this. So far, shipping per box of 2 has been around 25.00 to 35.00. And at 20.00 per receiver puts the total cost for 2 at around 65.00 to 75.00 shipped. If I had more time in a day I would buy them all. Oh well, I'll give it a little more time and if no more interest I'll tell him to do whatever with them.

I'd love to, but working with the SMT parts has me a bit intimidated. I can solder and do basic troubleshooting, but can a normal human fix SMT without a microscope &etc?

Also it would help if you could add prices to your list, so an interested person can decide what they can afford...

Usually it's only a vision problem if you have to change a small part. Then, I just use a 7.00 plastic head piece. If I need to see real small after replacement to check solder joint a loupe would be fine. I actually use a primary lens from the eyepiece of an older video camera I removed. I do not even have a microscope yet and I change some of the smallest sh*t there is. And my eyes are not what they use to be either. To remove SMT's with 3 legs or less I use 2 soldering irons. Cheap ones from radio shack. For more then 3 legs I use quick chip. Best stuff ever invented. All techs use it and rave about it. Easier then an actual chip removal system.

Harbor freight has the plastic head piece or I'm sure ebay does also.

The thread discussed what the prices were going to be but i guess I should put that in the first post also. All receivers are 20.00 each, purchased in qroups of 2, and if you choose 1 higher value one then second must be a lower value one.

I purchased six receivers, four of them were delivered today (and the other box was delayed until Monday). I'll do the unboxing this evening and post pictures.

I don't see why not but the shipping for 1 or 2 is not much difference so for another 20 bucks you get 2.

Well the Pioneer VSX 1122-K is fixed!! Had the issue where you had to hold down the power button for it to show anything on the screen. then it just stay there. The HDMI board was covered in corrosion on some chips and the ribbon cable.
Removed the board. scabbed it with denatured alcohol and then used some RS cleaner lubricant on the cable connector and the
ribon itself. now she works !!! Well i have not connected to speakers yet but its working!

As you can see what i mean in these pics. The ribbon cable and it's connector also had the same crap. so this $20 receiver is worth a lot more now Wink
