A while back I was able to make a contact with a liquidation center. I have been purchasing high dollar AVR's and flat panels.
These are usually new returns, some work fine and some need repair. What I am not buying are lower dollar AVRs (meaning a used selling price of less then 400.00), BluRays (unless they are Wifi), home theater systems, tablets, notepads and such.
I have just been offered a couple pallets of AVR's but I have to take them without knowing just what is in there. So what I am offering is the receivers that I don't want to someone who is interested in buying them and repairing if needed. Once they are yours any profit is yours. I don't want anything. BUT, I would be willing to give repair assistance if needed. So you can just be a hobbyist, wanting to learn and make some money at the same time. Investment could be negotiated by quantity.

All receivers are 20.00 each, purchased in qroups of 2, and if you choose 1 higher value one then second must be a lower value one. 2 mid level ones are fine. Shipping in the US seems to be running 25.00 to 35.00 with 2 receivers per box.

Hey Matt, if you want to split these, I might be interested. Shipping to me would be brutal. Mac, email or PM me with pricing, if you have a rough idea of what each one might go for.

First off we are talking hundreds here so there are lots to go around. Mostly Denon, Pioneer, Yamaha, Sony. Only a few off brands. I just need to see if there is interest as my supplier has just been offered another large supply and we are discussing whether he should buy them of not. If there is not much interested then probably less then a hundred currently available. The prices are cheap, cheap, cheap. Don't ask me to post prices though.

I am looking for a modern AVR with 4 in 2 out HDMI switching , 7.1 x at least 100 WPC to replace
my aging Sony STR-DA4ES. Doesn't have to have any of that network / wifi / Sirius etc stuff
Shipping to me would be the same as for Curt - maybe I could even ride on his coat-tails if he buys a bunch.
Thanks! ...Dave

Yeah, I'd like a similar modern AVR too. I don't suppose you're interested in splitting these out onesey-twosey, Mac?

Hey Matt,
Do you have any processors?? no internal amps??
I have all external amps for my 5x Martin Logan's, and my Tag McLaren does not have DTS-HD audio processing.

Cheers
Steve

So what do you guys think is the difference between just a processor or using the preamp outs of an AVR?

So then, I'm still not getting your weight saving statement yet. Very Happy

An AVR is not a boombox. Laughing Laughing Laughing

I'm really just curious, and busting you a little also. Wink

So tell me, how does the weight saving come in play?

Working would be nifty, but I can do some basic troubleshooting and repair. With a bit of guidance. Very Happy I've replaced caps &etc in my 8500 and I've done other work. Replacing SMT components may be beyond my ability -- I don't have a microscope &etc.

But being the cheap SOB I am, I'd be tickled to do some fix-up to get a nice AVR for cheep.

The heat output of the amplifiers not being used is a lot in an equipment rack full of gear...

Most of the high dollar AVR's shut down the entire amp section if selected as off. No heat.

Or just unplug the B+ line to the amp, 4 wire plug.
