hi.

i have installed my "new" 6pg and did the nec pg manuel setup from curtpalme properly. now i did the adjustment and even if not perfekt, my picture is okay so far.

But, circles look like eggs. i will post the testpicture for better explenation later if it got dark here.

anyway, i am feeding my crt by vga to rgb with my laptop @ 1280x768..

what am i doing wrong or what can i make to circle my eggs please. also tried the h-potentiometer on the "first" board which kind of does the trick but its still no circle AND i think i am using too much phosphor by that, because i have to streighten out the picture horizontaly to the maximum to get something "like" a circle.. further i read now that i shouldnt mess around too much with that poti anyway../

HELP please.

aja, and by the way my picture isnt very sharp..!?

thanks for now and
bw christoph

You need to do the astigmatism adjustment. That's why your circles look like eggs. Have you checked out the NEC advanced procedures section yet? It describes how to do it there. My first projector was a 6pg as well. Nice projector.

NO!!!! This is NOT the astig!!!

You may need to do that too, but this is an amplitude issue. You need to increase vertical amplitude in the menu.

You know since it came with a 800x600 scaler maybe it's the 930?? 6PG or 6PG extra. Honestly I can't remember. I bought it years ago with the scaler and a screen and used it as a table. You have too many toys when....
