Im on my last CRT.. When my 2004 Marquee will run out of tubes and spare parts.. Maybe then ill take the JVC out of the box again, and give up using projectors.

I'm curious... In all honesty... If the Marquee is so great and the RS50 is so bad, why do you even keep the JVC? In every thread you mention it, it seems your only motivation is to point out it's shortcomings in one way or the other, so why do you keep it - especially if it's supposedly in the box?

It dont have much value, and selling it with the loss ill get, ill prefer keeping it and loos all the money.. just to be able to drag it out of the box from time to time and confirm that its still dont deserve to hang in my room.

I also use it to take out and demo how it looks, and show potential JVC buyers what shortcommings these machines have.

What makes you say that? Resale on them is quite good from what I've seen.

I'd also point out that your logic is iffy at best... If you're losing a lot of money selling it, then you're losing a lot more by keeping it.

Oh, lord. Total face palm.

I guess you're pretty wealthy if you just keep a multi-thousand dollar projector sitting around in the box "just to show people its shortcomings".

Please.

I'm starting to wonder whether you actually even have one, or if perhaps you're just a troll.

I've been on my last crt several times...and something keeps drawing me back. It could be boredom or a love for the technology.

I have a very, very low hour cine7 here with p16 tubes...it seems to me that it is as sharp as a PG. I also bought a recent vintage 1080p dlp and the Barco was way better at most things...

With all the technology advancements over the years, it really is strange how video has somewhat stagnated.

As good as plasma is, the picture is noisy as hell...crt beats it. LCD can be super smooth...but the contrast fall apart in certain scenes. I want new technology...I don't want these old relics...but they're good. And dirt cheap!

Analog, there is a PGXtra on kijiji in your neck of the woods for 80 bucks...it's time for you to step up to the big leagues of EM focus!

I only get two things from these pics. One, I am fatter than I thought. I really need to get this condo done and get back on a good diet and working out. Second, she does look more comfortable with Curt, although she only set with him for the pic. Smile

Honestly, it took me awhile to get comfortable with her being there. I mean Curt and I were talking and then all of a sudden our waitress decides to sit down with us for several minutes at a time. Do we continue our subject conversation or do we stop and talk to her? A lot of stops and starts to Curt and myselfs conversation. Well except for the last one which was about sex. Shocked Laughing

I don't think you are a troll, but I do have to question your premise. Unless you bought this used, you spent $5k new. To let that much money pretty much go to waste means you must have more money than you know what to do with.

Very true. I was starting a pretty explicit story, and then she goes and sits down with us...again, and I point blank told her that I was going to get pretty crude and lewd, to which she responded: 'Oh, you're talking about sex? BRING IT ON!'

So yeah, she got an uncensored earful. Mr. Green
