If I am using a Barco or NEC, will the original Fury work properly?

synch wise and centering...would all be ok?

Oh actually wait.. one thing. the Fury 1 has no selectable sync, and a number of HD sources put out positive sync via the HDMI cable, so yes, you may have issues with sync. You may need a sync inverter after the Fury1. the GammaX will do it, or an Extron 202xi or 203 will do it too.

I would assume that a lumagen could switch the sync..?

I thought the original fury didn't use a power supply..but I don't know that for sure.

Yes a lumagen can change the sync.

There are known issues with a standalone HDFury, i'd find one just to be sure!

Yes, the only componnents that outputted enough power for the HDFury were PS3 Phat and Xbox 360 Elite, I also found one other Samsung tuner that would drive it. Everything else I tried wouldn't work. Get the power supply.

Here's a hint: You can get the charging cord for the Nokia cell phone and reverse the polarity on the wires and use that for the HDFury. DO NOT try powering it without making sure the polarity is right. (-) Negative on the center pin.
