Sweet.. How did the 300 Mhz moddet Marquee compare to the digitals.? And what signal did you feed it.?

This was one unanswered question.

You guys can modify all you want it does not matter. And stridsvognen is a guy I donīt answer.

And I have never said I have tested a modifyed Marquee, but I have seen modifyed Barcos and it did not matter, the results where the same. Wink

If you want the best money can buy, how do you decide if you did not try it all.

Is all digitals the same.. And do you think all CRT projectors look the same to.?

You never seen a Marquee, but tell you seen a Barco and the results where the same. How did you come to that conclusion.?

If you invite me to Denmark I will bring a JVC down and we can do a side by side test, and if I find the Marquee to be better I will gladly admit it as I am not an fanboy of any brand or technology.

You have for the longest been sh*ting on CRT, but you have only experienced a few.

It just dont make much sense you telling all the facts, with your lack of experience.

For your education. Mike has made the Marque perform at 300MHz. There is not a single testpicture that you can throw that is better on digital than on that Marquee. In fact all the scaling degrades your reolution so the Marquee will be sharper and better as long as you do not use the sharpness slider.

That is complete and utter bull****!

And I never use the sharpness slider.

Ok if you want to shut your eyes fine with me.

Invite me to Denmark and show me a 300mhz Marquee and I will write it here if I find it to be better than my digital. As I have no problem admitting it if I think it is better. You can tell me all the facts as much as you like, before I see it on screen it is only theory.

And have you seen all digitals?? Cool

The 909 never shown a clean 75Mhz on screen, so its a different argument.

I never claims CRT or the Marquee to be the best, as i have never seen all other projectors who exist.

If you have a preference for a digital low gamma, the gray and over exposed low level, you will never take a liking to a CRT.

If you value a image who looks natural and realistic, its hard to get around some of the best CRT projectors.

Most CRT projectors will not be able to display low level details, no matter the on off contrast, so they need digital manipulation to get there, and that do to the image quality some of what i dont like about digital projectors.

Go buy some different CRT projectors, play with it if you like to find out what it do. It will depend greatly on your skills and patience, not how much money you have in your pocket to spend.

Trust me mr this movie is made digital and not ment shown on a CRT with pixels so what you say is so off to reality.
But if you like it I won't stop you.
But all you say here in this post is just clueless.
But keep up the great work.

Trust me your $30,000+ of projectors in your avatar sucks, the Sony LSPX-W1S is where its at, I mean for $50,000 how could it not be more superior? That 1100 is so out of date, theres no way it could compete with this beast!

Rolling Eyes

Have you heard the song look who's talking now.
Hahaha
I am actually shocked that you guys on this forum is so blind to the industry the reality And all other aspects.
The VW 1100 out of date? Yes when new models arrive. LOL your CRT is out on date. A long time ago.
This is also nonsense talk like everything else I read this forum.
Keep it coming hehe

Wow... You really don't have a f*cking clue do you... simply amazing.

You wrote is ment for you thanks. Trust me you guys HAVE NO clue.

My digitals is calibrated at 2.3-2.4 gamma.

I will never buy a CRT before I can see that it gives me more than my current digital. And to buy a Marquee 9500 and start modifying it is not cheap, my current JVC X500 cost me about 4000$. Wink

And why will you not invite me to Denmark?? Very Happy

I had CRT long before many on this forum, and know a hole bunch of CRT guys form that time. And they know that this is not a fight like many here think and that we want to make CRT look bad. Its just the fact.
Stridsvognen I have saied it before when you are upp and running 100% with your marquee I gladly take the trip to Denmark.
But I know before leaving that it's just the same I have seen from day 1.

According to you the Cine 9 is just sh*t because it can ony do 180mhz. Wink

Invite me to Denmark and show me a 300mhz Marquee and I will write it here if I find it to be better than my digital. As I have no problem admitting it if I think it is better.

Very Happy

Why should i.?

I dont have any interest in creating more competition on the used Marquee marked.

At least you have admitted that you dont have a clue whats up or down in the CRT game.

I am quite sure you will not get more competition in the used Marquee market.

I know a good picture and as long as people who dedicate their life to CRT set them up I think they look as good as they can get. And I donīt like what I see so far. What I was hoping you could do is show me this wonder as Demark is close to Norway and a great possibility for me to see a modifyed Marquee and see with my own eyes how wonderful this machine is. But it is up to you... Wink

Yeah it is the same, just as all digital projectors are the same.. same same.. If you have seen one, you know them all.. no matter if its CRT or digital.. Thumbs Up

Thats the fact right..?

For me do not matter if it's crt or digital correct. I am after the best picture. But I doubt that you guys have better Crts than the most qualified CRT people here in Norway. And I have seen them. If not your marquee is many many many times better than a cine 9 or 909, then I be surprised. I am not to take away your hobby of your way of saying a perfect picture is, because with a CRT today then the top line 909 cine9 and marquee 9500lc, some like the marquees and some like the bar so and some like the G70-90. And they look all good alone, but set up together and doing a side by side switch, then not turning on off and then look at the other one. Here switching images quick so you see differences. I be very surprised if I be shocked in any way.
So invite me. I be there if I can take the trip. You and me don't need much brain to see differences easy.

Clarly the cine9, you have some better ansicontrast on the G70 and 90 over the barco. But the total image on a Cine9.
Also because of more correct colors.

And I not yet seen a perfect adjusted marquee. So surprise me.
