Case you know modding these crt sets is fun so do it and post the results
Soon to be getting a modded marquee 9500LC(another 9inch set) not sure if I will swap my vidikron case over to it or not(I prefer the look of it)

Its no fun when you work 6 days a week, so if i can pay someone else that claims to be able to make it perfect, id sooner do that than do it myself.

I don't think you need to mod. Put new tubes in and enjoy.
Especially do not mod or change the temperature section.

Be glad you don't have uneven wear(would fix it but the software I have to make patterns for that has went m.i.a from non use)
Anyway that's getting fixed soon as I am getting 9inch lc tubes to put in my marquee (and at a sweet price too)

Opps my bad(been busy lately)
but I know how you feel my green tube has uneven wear in two different sizes luckily it doesn't show all the time but when it does it bugs me like crazy( yet the red and blue doesn't show a hint of wear at close to 3k hours)
Unfortantly tubes for my set isn't cheap and I ended up getting a parts marquee(at least I was told it was a parts set) for the tubes(tubes are near mint if not mint) hopefully by the time I change what I need over I can enjoy my set without the uneven wear

My blue doesn't have any wear and my red doesn't have that I can see
How the heck did one tube get text wear when the others didn't(unless the green has it also)
I plan on selling what parts I don't use to curt after I do my upgrade

I'm no expert in such matters. But the first thought that came to mind was the colour of the text. But if the text was pure white, then I don't have an explanation...

From what i understand in here, it seems like the BARCO 909 is fast to burn tubes.
Maybe the LUG tubes burn much faster.?
The Marquee 9500LC seems to run a lot of hours before showing visible burn. I have often wondered if its the tubes, ot the extreme massive high mass alu LC housing, keeping the tubes much colder.?

I think it's not the tubes, but the way they are driven, the factory G90s are also notoriously burning the tubes, they can show visible wear after only 1000hrs, but with a proper and careful setup they also can last as long as others, I guess this is the case with the 909 too, although the specs saying 1200 peak lumens like to its predecessor, I bet they pushed the tubes harder in the 909, than say in a 1209.

Check the option CRTDriveMode inside the Cine9/909
You can choose between Normal, Economic.....

There are 4 options for tube drive. I see zero reasons to ever believe Cine 9s burn tubes fast at all, these have 6,496 hours on them and only show light wear on green, both blue and green have text wear which i posted a picture of in my Cine 9 thread. Its caused by previous owner obviously not being quick enough to turn off his Yoga DVD title screen, instead, left it running for a long time.
