Best thing you can do at this point I think is send me the RGB input board which also contains the microprocessor. Assuming you're within the US, it's $50 incl return shipping to test the board. No real other way to narrow it down at this point I'm afraid.

Curt, am I just remembering things, or haven't you said the factory reset isn't really a good idea on the Sony machines. I seem to remember returning all my controls to 127 manually to do a scratch setup because you said factory reset was risky for some reason.
Sorry, OP. Bummer you're having issues, but you'll get it sorted out.

I just don't like doing hard resets or firmware updates unless it's REALLY necessary (as in a memory dump on an NEC XG chassis.
I keep seeing posts over the years where people have nothing but prob;ems after a hard reset, so I discourage it. Worst case in the case of a 909, the controller board locks up during a firmware upload, and now you're out $3500 (price of a new controller board from BArco !)
Just say no, don't do it!

on the input info menu the input signal reads INT OSC what does that mean? im looking at the list in the manual and it doesn't list that as a type.

It means the projector is synced to the internal oscillator, or in other words, it doesn't see a signal on the selected input.
Cheers,

Well that will be twice this month that I've seen that in a D50. Problem is, the other one is in Germany, so I sold the RGB input board outright, he didn't send in his for repair. If you want to send me yours, I'd be curious to see what the issue is.
