Since not for sale anymore i guess it's ok to discuss here. I had two of these on ebay for $20 not a single bid. One has minty tube and the other not far from it. I'm glad i don't sell these for a living. ha

Yeah, I ended up scrapping the 4 I had. Only value is in 9" machines.

I could barely GIVE Curt the 3 NIB tubes I still had for the PG/PGplus originally bought from Doug Baisey years ago.

yeah, it's sad. I'd like some newer NEC stuff, but the few-hunderd on shipping costs are just overkill for a $20 projector.

They are salable in a large metro area. Not worth much money unless it's a 9" LC/EM, but they are salable. The killer is if you're not in a large metro. Then there are just plain too few people around that know what they are or why they would want them. So, then it means shipping, and as fuchs pointed out, the projectors just aren't worth the shipping.

I figured. I just searched "CRT projector"... It's not like there's a ton of matches... Anyway, saw the two Runcos, clicked it, and it's not like the username left much doubt in my mind. Wink

Pm me if anyone's interested
I am using my marquee now and if curt supported nec pg sets I would keep it but he is dropping support for them(not the Xg)

Ps he offered 100 bucks a tube for the ones in my 10pg and they are near mint

Indeed they are, that's why I have one LOL Very Happy the only problem with the Runcos that they have limited scanrate, for example my 6PG xtra just locks fine to 1080p (fh:67kHz), and it's not looking not bad at all!

I know someone who would pay 100-150$+shipping for a set of PG xtra tubes (8+), if someone have...

Some RUNCO NECs have some interesting changes in them yeah. My XG is a RUNCO, but seems to be unchanged apart from the black paint and glowing RUNCO emblem, which all makes it look much nicer than the allready great looking NEC XG...

Oh I think I was mistakable, my 6PG xtra is a genuine NEC with max 69kHz scanrate, but looking at the runco specs their 6PG xtra are only rated only at 65kHz, so they just missing 1080p, sad.

it's not sad...1080p is of no significance to a good picture...720p is plenty good for a PGxtra.

Yet 1080p looks better than 720p, but that may be just my opinion, though I run mine at 1080i-96Hz...

Nope, not just your opinion, cause i also feel that way, and i too run my NEC at 1080i instead, which looks better than both.

I ran my Runco990 (PG10) at 1080i as well. It looked great and above all..... the projector barely ran warm. I still have the FLIR pics to prove it someplace. Very Happy

I wouldn't say it is unfortunate, but a little sad. I have a G70 with perfect tubes and a back up set of boards that probably wouldn't get much play above two hundred dollars.

I will have to disagree with Crabb. They are not easy to sell in the big markets either. I have seen several high end sets languish on CL with nary a nibble.
