Can you tell us the model number of your direct TV receiver?

Also do you have a Moome HDMI to RGBHV or HDFury HDMI to RGBHV box yet?

Ok try this:

HDMI to the Moome card in the switcher ( which Moome card do you have? You may need to set the jumpers to work in the switcher)
S-Video and 2 RCA ( white and red ) audio to the DVD recorder. If you have the dual HDMI Moome card use the HDMI to the Moome card in the swicher ) ( if you have the Moome card with the HDMI and component ( 3 RCA jacks ) use those )

You'll need to set the output on the two devices to 1080i

The DVD recorder won't have an HDMI input.

So run an S-video cable and 2 RCA audio cables to the DVD recorder so you can record the show you're watching on Direct TV.

Use an HDMI cable from the Direct TV box to the Moome card in the switcher.
Use another HDMI cable from the Magnavox DVD recorder to the Moome card in the switcher.

The Moome card will ( should ) auto switch between inputs.

A better option may be to put the card directly in the projector if your sources are close enough.

Remember to go into the menus on the DirectTV and Magnavox and set the resolution to 1080i NOT 1080P
